Fishing FANClubs are established within each elementary school to teach kids how to fish.
FishAmericaNow (FAN), a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, partners with High School Bass Clubs and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department to establish Fishing FANClubs. The TP&WD provides training, certification, background checks and curriculum. The High School Club provides mentoring and training assistance.
Message from the CEO/president
Getting children outdoors and fishing can be life-changing. Research has shown what we have intuitively known all along - kids that are introduced to fishing at a young age gain a love for the outdoors while improving their lives.
"Families that fish together, stay together." Mom and dad (and grandparents) are encouraged to be involved and to attend monthly Fishing FANClub meetings. There will be training, fishing events, an annual community conservation project and lots of fun.
High School Bass Clubs are an important part of Fishing FANClubs. These teenagers assist Angler Education Instructors with mentoring and one-on-one instruction. FAN compensates High School Clubs for their involvement, helping offset fishing and tournament expenses.
FishAmericaNow will establish Fishing FANClubs in communities throughout America.

Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
